We may never know for sure, but he had suffered some major health problems while growing up. A few years after he went offline, I had found some conflicting information about someone with his name (which was also complicated from what he told me) passing away in the area he had lived. But it wasn't conclusive.

I've met several people IRL from Trek/EFCL/LoNAF/TK, but not BlazerBoy, although we chatted a lot online away from the boards. But then he said farewell and went offline...
