Now, right here is why I can't stand TBBS mods...

A thread is posted...

A mod moves it...

Moving to GTVM, since this is more action/adventure.

Apologies for not getting to this sooner

About 20 people try to figure out why it was moved...

Another mod shows up...

As for the SF issue, around here, people could make a case for every show on tv being sci-fi (It's set 2 years in the future, they live in NY and there are no black people, there was the episode where they mentioned robots, he had dreams during the show so it's fantasy, etc.). In the end, it's discussed on the board, so discuss away.

Rather than admit Neroon made a mistake in moving the thread from Scifi to General TV and Media, he explains why everyone else is wrong...

The Show in Question?

The new Knight Rider movie/series in the works. Can anyone, anywhere explain to me how Knight Rider is NOT Sci Fi?

Thought so.

NBC's Knight Rider revival is a sequel not a reimagining

Yeah I saw that not long after it happened.

Maybe Neroon has a talking car that drives itself, can turbo boost, go to super persuit mode, has a laser in its nose, and can jam the engines of other vehicles?

Of course the biggest fantasy element of night rider was how when he drove on the back of that truck, his wing mirrors barely cleared the sides, yet when you see him inside he can open the doors, and walk around KITT on either side, and still leave room for loads of computers and repair gear.

Its not really that big of a deal, especially as a jump-off point to disparge all TrekBBS mods en masse. I'd have left it in SF/F but it can be argued to not be a true sci-fi show. Regardless, the point is that the thread is still open and can be posted in. People get far too wrapped up in posting on web-boards.

I gotta agree. Compared to the many other bad decisions on the behalf of TBBS mods (Ie, allowing a well-known troll to post for FOUR years before finally banning his ass), this is a drop in the bucket.

People get far too wrapped up in posting on web-boards.
But if it weren't for that, this place wouldn't exist! ;)

You have to remember Neroon logs in everyday with his warning finger twitching just above the mouse button, looking for any minor infraction to prove he serves a purpose somewhere. He probably does it in a mu-mu or the aforementioned wizard outfit. Maybe he pushes the button with his magic wand. (ewww). On desperate days like this one, apparently, he just had to move a post somewhere!

At least that's a more honest approach than the recently departed Lord Garth used to take while evaluating posts for warnings. Waiting for auditory hallucinations involving the Beastie Boys and consulting an imaginary apparition of Gary Coleman probably isn't the best way to go about it under any circumstances. Not even shrooms.
