NYPD, brother arrested

Tyrant

He regularly parks his truck (Nissan Titan, very nice ride) in front of the driveway while going to the shack in the back.

It's 2 AM and he's gone for 2 minutes or so, just in time to see it drive off. He calls the cops and some arrive, and question him. They ask to see the keys, the spare, etc etc.

Everything is kosher. A second group of cops arrive an hour later and question him. Turns out the truck was found a few blocks down, in pretty bad shape (Right side, the front wheel is also fucked). The thief, not knowing how to handle a truck and panicky, probably crashed it and then ran off.

Between the first and second meeting with the cops he has some vodka. Not a smart move, but how was he supposed to know the cops would visit him twice? They arrest HIM for DUI and filing a false report after they find the truck.

So he gets to spend the night in jail. The judge throws the case out ("You don't have a case.") since no one saw him drive the fucking thing. He was given back his license at the DMV the next day.

The police station was equally fucked. I was tasked with getting his stuff out of the car, when I saw it was completely cleaned out, including the cargo area. The pigs claimed they couldn't get access to the back, which is BS - a $700 floor buffer is missing, and I doubt the thief would have taken 2 bags of sawdust with him.

I doubt insurance will cover the damage to the truck. Hell, he might even lose it if they glimpse a police report of him driving under the influence and filing a false report after crashing.

All in a day's work for our fine boys in blue.

Fuck man that sounds like a royal nightmare!

I was the fuck up who had a brother who helped me with my fuck ups.

I hope you get it all sorted out.

You'll find good cops sometimes, bad cops most of the time. You found bad cops that were probably looking to reduce their paperwork and get home early.

Unfortunate.

^ No, no, no.

It was near the end of their shift, and had to find a way to justify the OT so they can pay the second morgage, and their boat payments.
