Obi Wan - Palpatine's sleeper agent

I reckon Obi Wan must be a sith sleeper agent, he might not even have been aware of this.

His master was Qui Gon, who had dubious morals when it came to cheating at gambling to ensure victory, and mind controlling people to get free transport and the like, and who himself was Count Dooku's apprentice, who knows what subliminal messages could have been implanted.

Palpatine creats via the force his perfect apprentice (he has no father), trouble is, this boy is not evil, he is selfless, loving and giving, right up until the point where Obi Wan starts mentoring him. Palpatine can not easily bring Anakin to see him, but does manage to keep requesting the pressence of Obi Wan, who always brings his apprentice.

Then Anakin gradually heads towards the dark side without the person who has speant the most time around him, and taught him most of what he knows ever noticing, allegedly.

Obi Wan then cripples him, but dosnt bother to finish him. perhaps aware in his mind that Palpatine would come to rescue him.

Cut to much later, and he is giving Luke the light saber his father used to kill children with, then books the next flight out to where Vader hangs out, repeating again his job of bringing talented Jedi to Sith Lord's. Seeing Luke and Vader in the same room, having done the job he was created for a kill switch was activated in Obi Wan's mind, and he took his own life. Only in death did he realise what he had done, and ushered Luke away "Run Luke, run!"

Not how the story was written?

Still might be true, from a certain point of view.

Let's extrapolate further. Who set up Obi Wan to personally oversee Anakin's development by asking him to place the boy with Palpatine despite having clearly stated he was dark and unstable? Who came across as arrogant and condescending in his own council of Jedi elders, so much so that he seemed to set himself above them as the one who had the final say? Who was the one who counselled to trust Palpatine early on, and who elected to use the clearly illicit clone army even though it was revealed as having been criminal on a whole host of levels and part of several larger crimes including murder? Who showed himself capable of amazing feats of Jedi Skill with both the force and a lightsaber, yet allowed himself to be "defeated" and crept away to hide without showing really any serious physical damage?

Yoda was the real Sith Lord. He had the most to gain from creating a "mysterious hidden enemy" for his Jedi to hunt and chase, since it gave him amazing political clout. In fact, Palpatine was only "revealed" as the Dark Lord when his power finally surpassed that of Yoda. Sneaky little lizard man had to eliminate a rival, and if Sam Jackson accidentally died in the process, so much the better.

Remember, Yoda was the one telling Anakin to surrender all worldly desires and cut emotional ties with his loved ones to swear loyalty to the cult ERRRRRR the Jedi. "Escape from the church...a Jedi craves not these things."
