First time in this medium, always used acrylics until now, pros being able to blend colours better, cons, two days later and it's still wet.

Also I may have forgotten how to img wrap links so this might not work.

Love the eyes. Copy the URL of the image, then click the icon in the toolbar to the left of the smileys. Paste the url in that link bar and voila (like below)

Thanks!

Well this started off as a terrible leathal weapon acrylic painting, then an even worse 300 one, I tried painting them both away but they didn't want to cover up, I thought the oil would be thicker, which it was.

Will definitely do more oils in the future, a little goes a long way, so probably won't need to buy paints as often.

I might be able to get away with star trek characters, maybe not the scene with her and Troi in leotards stretching though.

I can't get the odorless thinner open any more, oil paint me be a short lived thing.

I was going to try and do Colombo.

I used to be an artist, once. Although my preferred medium was woodcut prints. My skill with color was not as good as I was with black and white. Working with oil was interesting. All art is interesting, but oil added a whole other level. The trick with art is knowing when to stop. You can't stop too soon or you don't develop the work enough, but if you go too far it winds up a muddy mess--literally with oil paint. And oil paint is nice because of how you can blend it and work it for an extended period. But, as you said, it takes forever to dry, so you probably should set some works aside and come back to them to do the next level. I was never good enough or patient enough for that.

I drew a King Kong sized cat destroying New York once. It looks better in my head than it probably did in real life.
