you'd think that after narrowly escaping a life sentence he might have behaved himself a bit. I guess all black people are genetically criminals

It's not quite over yet. Wait until after the sentencing to celebrate. The judge still has the discretion to modify the sentence regardless of the guidelines.

Though judging from her quick denial of bail and order to take him into custody, yeah, he's fucked. Good riddance.
 
And now it's revealed that 5 jurors, in pretrial questionnaires, claimed that they disagreed with his 1995 acquittal.

That should set the defense up with a pretty good shot at an appeal. Perhaps even a mistrial.
 
All twelve jurors were on TV this morning very patiently and carefully explaining that their verdicts were not predisposed, but based on the actual physical evidence of the crimes. Whether or not they agreed with his murder acquittal was irrelevant, they all said to a person. They based their verdict on the EVIDENCE.

There will be no other trial, mis or otherwise, and I've been reading that this man will serve most of the rest of his vitality in jail.

Period.
 
He murders two people and that goes without justice being served but he throws a hissy fit over some stolen football memorabilia and he goes to prison for life.

I'm going to my island and putting my shack on stilts so I can live there year round. I'll train the whales to protect me in case the Somalia Pirates come to visit.

He actually was found responsible for the death of his wife but not guilty for the actual murders for whatever that's worth but doesn't anyone find it strange that one of the men O.J. Simpson was with at the time of the robbery was (unbeknownst to O.J.) a private investigator that O.J. did know was armed but to protect O.J. against any fowl play? A private investigator that produced the weapon 5 minutes after they entered the room? I hate to remind everyone of this but O.J. wasn't the one holding a gun in his hand at the time of the bust. He was holding a CREDIT CARD. I don't know what the legal terminology is for what happened that day but I'm guessing "set up" comes close. An interesting turn of events to be sure, but not a surprising one.

By the way, what happened with O.J.'s co-defendants?

The reason I post as Alyssum is as a result of a confluence of events in a rather complicated troll that's probably more complex than you could possibly understand, but has nothing to do with my sexuality.

Being acquitted of a serious crime or not being caught for committing a serious crime oftentimes makes criminals more brazen.

It's child-like in it's psychology. When most people are young they test the boundaries with their parents. When they test one boundary and get away with it, they try to do something more extreme. They think that since they got away with the last event, there won't be any consequences.

Serial killers or any serial criminal falls victim to the same mentality.

Though, some serial killers are an exception in that they want to be caught. Maybe, somewhere in the back of OJ's mind, he wanted to be punished for the crimes he committed.
