Has anyone watched this Korean cult classic ?

I watched it yesterday, and I can certainly say that is is one of the -if not THE- most intriguing, artistic, and downright mindfucking movies I have ever watched ! The movie got the Critics Award at the festival de Cannes, in the very year which Quentin Tarantino happened to head the Jury in the festival. Basically, you can't go wrong with a movie that got Donatien-Alphonse De Sade and Quentin Tarantino's seal of approval.

Ive heard good things but never seen it. Isnt it loosely part of a three movie series?

Rent Battle Royale, if you can find it. Its a good watch. About a high school class put on an island, given three days to kill eachother off.

Yes, it's part of three revenge tales (totally independent each from the other), Oldboy easily being the highlight of the three, because it's not just about style, it tells a story, and a very good one. Meaning that, it's not a random "flick", it's quality cinema.

I will try to procure "Ichi The Killer", "Battle Royale", and the two other party of "triology" Oldboy is a part of.
