Elitist Redheaded Trollop
I can buy a Gamecube controller and play the Wind Waker games on my Wii. I LOVE HAVING BRAND-NEW ZELDA GAMES TO OBSESS OVER.

I'm currently on Ocarina of Time...about to start the Shadow Temple. I'm playing them all in order of release (the ones I have) because I have no life.

Started Majora's Mask last night (it was storming and the sex toy party I was invited to got nixed).

I know lots of people hate MM, but I love it. The beginning as a Deku scrub is the only frustrating time because instead of doing what I need to do I dance with the Scarecrow to pass time and forget about the moon tear I have to give to the other Deku so I can get his flower.

I figure by the time I'm done with this one, I should have Wind Waker in my possession.

About the memory card...

I think I'm about to ask a dumb question, but oh well. So the gamecub memory card goes into the Wii, so I take the Wii (hah) one out. Yeah, that sounds like something techy I can fuck up quite easily.

You don't have to remove the Wii memory to use the GC memory card. Isn't the Wii's memory built in anyway? I'm pretty sure it is.

The Wii has about 500mb in internal memory (that you can't touch) and an SD card slot on the front which can take SD cards of up to 32Gigs.

All of that is separate from the GameCube memory card slot, which is on the top next to the GameCube controller ports under a separate flap:

I bought a Classic Controller because I don't like how the Wii looks with the flaps open using the GC controller. True story (and Super Mario World is unplayable with the GC controller.)

TISI, no one who's actually played Major's Mask could hate it (even though I quit it for nine years after dying in the water temple.)

I intentionally block out the water temples then cuss like I've got Tourette's when I get to them. Especially this one.

I thought that the Classic Controller (the one that hooks into the Wii Remote) is only for older games that you buy in the Wii Shop and save to the Wii drive or the SD card.

When you have a game on a physical GC disc, you still have to use a GC controller and the GC memory card, don't you? That's been the case with me (I thought)...

Yes. I never said you can play Gamecube games with the Classic Controller. I wish using the GC controller to play virtual console games. Such as Super Mario World, with really uncomofortable button layout. SORRY IF THAT WASN'T CLEAR!

Okay for somebody who has never owned a WII, but has access to one now: how do I get the classic games? Do I download someplace? And where do you get the controllers?

You can buy them legally on Virtual Console by connecting your Wii to the internet. The classic controller is designed to play old games and works well with everything I've played (which isn't that many.)

There's probably illegal means too?

You can emulate N64 games on your PC and connect a controller instead of using the Wii and spending cash (besides the remote, probably cheap on Ebay/Amazon).
