Can I have Ops?
Merlin is now playing a Detective that he SHAGS and that lady is Gillian Anderson. The TV programme is called The Fall.

Every time he appears on screen I crack a magic joke (He'll get his wand out in a minute, I bet he's magic between the sheets) and oh how everyone laughs.

Other things:
1. I'm also watching BSG again and I think of you all and those long ago times. SO SAY WE ALL. (it's still good)
2. I've visited the island of the previous owner of this site many times now. It's lovely.

I still haven't seen Colin Morgan in any non-Merlin roles (apart from Doctor Who but that was PRE MERLIN.) I don't think I want to. Leave the Merlin memories alone.

BSG is loosely on the list of shows I might rewatch one day for a "Wacky reviews" type thread. LOOSELY.

I didn't know Missmanners owned an island. Is it full of boy slaves?

Other TV shows I am tempted to rewatch like Merlin

The Fall also stars the guy who played Merlin’s dad, who in this case is Colin Morgan’s sort of boss (but mostly Gillian Anderson is). Very good show. Especially if you like doing raspy Gillian Anderson impressions while watching tv.

Primeval I could imagine watching again if it was a “best of” type scenario (if there are “best of” episodes). It was certainly formulaic at times, but I liked a lot of the elements. Evil boss Doctor Bashir, S Club Thingybob (Hannah?), the use of the Arc building in Hammersmith (which is a real office building that’s shaped like Noah’s Arc for some reason) and the Casualty style setups where a kid wanders off into a forest to follow a balloon and someone out of shot rustles the leaves.

And there was that time one of the characters got drastically changed in personality because time had been changed (I think someone stepped on a prehistoric dragonfly), with the natural assumption that it’d all be fixed before the end of the episode. But no, she just stayed different and the original version effectively got wiped from history. Haunting.

Never bothered with Atlantis though. I guess someone saw how well the gaybaiting in Merlin went and thought it’d work even better with some ripped gladiator type, but it just didn’t appeal.

John Lynch was truly bad in The Fall. DRINKS VODKA shouts IM A WEAK MAN. Either that or he had some bad lines. Another thing I do when watching The Fall is say 'GIBSON' in a loud voice when Gillian's phone rings. It's how she always answers it. My family hate me.

Primeval had the 'Casualty' TV show format. (Forgive me Cassie and other American friends) Basically, someone opened a drain cover or something and let out a massive thing that attacked people and then S Club Hannah ran around for a bit. It was so bad and I loved it.

Atlantis had 2 full seasons! Primetime! That was just bad if I am honest.

Merlin is the one true god and even had John Hurt in it.

The ONLY redeeming thing about Atlantis is that the now super famous Anya Taylor-Joy appeared in it as recurring character Cassandra (she was a bald seer.) I noticed her (put her on my creepy list but actually I thought here acting was good as well as her eyes okay!) and can now smugly claim that I knew about her before everyone else. "Oh, you saw her in 2020's Queen's Gambit? WELL I SAW HER FIVE YEARS EARLIER IN SOME BBC SATURDAY NIGHT PIECE OF SHIT, HOW ABOUT THAT!"
