I'm surprised how they keep managing to keep this thing afloat--and interesting. They keep mashing up different legends together, yet it somehow still works within itself. The only time where it became obvious that they are simply grabbing Disney-owned fairy-tale properties in a fit of cross-promotion was when Mulan showed up.
I really like how Peter Pan looks like a drugged-out club twink. Sort of like what might have happened to Nolan from Revenge if he hadn't become a tech-boom billionaire.
I have mixed feelings about this show. I think Jennifer Blonde Hair is a crappy actor, I get distracted by Ginnifer Brown Hair's ridiculous sharpie-art eyebrows and big ears, Prince Charming looks like he's a drooler, Regina wears a crazy amount of make-up and looks more like a well preserved 45 year old than an early 30s year old and many of the stories are pretty stupid. But I love fantasy and they do have some clever plot ideas so I keep watching.
I gotta say, Robert Carlyle looks SPECTACULAR in the Rumplestiltskin outfit minus the reptilian make-up. That's one fine looking man and he is SO slumming on that show since he's a very good actor as well. Not to be insulting or anything since I'm watching OUAT too. *blush*
You're not alone in your thinking. When what's his name is talking about who his dad is and they cut to Rumplestiltskin walking through the forest with that sinister music playing I was like 'COME TO MAMA SEXY
