At first it seemed to be only at the federal level. But now private companies are being asked to comply. Several did in the last year in fact. I was sure this side was the side of "less government". But suddenly it may become illegal to say that the sky is in fact blue.
It didn't really hit me until just last night actually.
During Covid there were so many memes posted everywhere that talked about how it is okay to just be surviving and that we are all "going through something"
We still see those memes and posts. They are still there.
Like we are just "surviving" life and not living it at all.
So many posts about stress-only it is called cortisol now and we do somatic workouts and it is okay to talk about having a therapist-but don't talk to your friend about it anymore because they have their own trauma so you better get your own therapist.
There is more life out there
than just survining
merely surviving
That is our norm.
Can't we see we are in a collective trauma also?
And now it is just trauma piled on top of trauma, Covid, fires, hurricanes, shootings, war and then another war, and another
I get to go talk with some people tomorrow that have blinders on. They have their heads buried in the sand. If I mention any of this to them they won't have 1 single clue. So I don't. I'll go and pretend. I can do it for a day. Not a big deal.
And to be fair-some in the circle have had their own trauma-the other trauma, cancer. And brain tumors. In a way they get to ignore the rest of the world so they can continue healing.
A mountain blew up
some people were asked about it
people in positions of power
who represent other people
and when asked about this volcano they said they hadn't heard, there werne't aware
hadn't seen footage
just as simple as that
tell the cameras that you didn't know this volcano had erupted.
hmmm
And there is a thing about safety that some in this region seem to not be concerned about. But others may be overly concerned with it. Is there a balance? A right and a wrong? Is it safe to rebuild after this explosion? It doesn't matter, everything is safe, just do it.
No regulations are needed.
No rules.
Another group I see leads a large expedition where people from all around the world attend this thing. There was a list of appropriate ways to behave at this thing and some scoffed it because "Don't tell me what to do!"
Was said loudly at this event by someone mocking those that don't appreciate rules or regulations. Everybody laughed except one. That one asked me about it later-why were they all laughing he asked. I couldn't really explain it to him in a way for him to understand.
Don't tell me what to do.
But now we will tell you what to do.
Hypocrit. Seems many are capable of it.
It isn't the real problem tho. Telling people what to do, what not to do.
