overheard phone conversation from the neighbors

due to the very nature of telephony conversation, i can only report one side of the convo:

"Dude, whassup!?"

"Yeah?"

"Cool, cool, that's going to work out great."

"Dude, where are you guys?"

"I hate how everyone sounds different on the phone, it's like you guys are robots or something..."

OMG WHAT IF THEY ARE ROBOTS? WHAT IF YOUR INANE FRIENDS WERE REPLACED BY ROBOTS AND YOU'RE GIVING AWAY SECRET COMPANY INFORMATION, "DUDE"?

oh, those open windows in summertime!
I remember one hot sultry evening when I was reading excerpts from an - erm, bedtime story - to my boyfriend and suddenly the window of the neighbours' house on the same side as my bedroom window (there was a driveway between the houses)
was slammed shut!

And on such a warm night, too.
