Managed to kick my weights again today, toe very hurty and swollen, a bit red too, and cant really move it.

Hoping for just bruised, really dont want to have a broken toe, theres no way I'm off to casualty on a sunday when its full of pissed up hooligans.

It's the usual sad story:
got mixed up with a bad lot - gang of maniacal die-hard cross-country skiers - yesterday. 10 kms in two hours through twisting & turning woods. not pretty. well, the woods were pretty, but my red face wasn't likely to be. AND then a storm sprang up, and the madmen kept skiing anyway.

course, I'd've rather died than admit I was dying.
But I am today. ow.

snow shoeing is much more civilized, IMHO! You get to wear your comfy big winter boots and it's just like taking a pleasant stroll outside, without sinking down. lovely. civilized. those were the days.
