I once programmed an entire pac man game on my BBC micro. God knows why, it wasn't as good as the original. To think the hours I spent doing that stupid bastard task. I could have been learning carpentry or something.

I also programmed a thing called Empire which was kind of risk but on a BBC Micro. Once Risk came out my game also kind of looked a bit shit. Such is my destiny. I invented the mobile phone you know, I just thought it should be the same size as a car.

PAC MAN WAS AN EVIL GAME THAT PROMOTED DRUG TAKING ('POWER PILLS'), RACISM (ONCE THE GHOSTS 'TURNED BLUE', YOU COULD ATTACK THEM) AND SUGGESTED THAT WE BE AFRAID OF SPIRITUALITY (THE GHOSTS WERE A THREAT), THEREFORE ANTI-RELIGOUS. PLUS THE TITLE CHARACTER IS YELLOW, AND A VICIOUS SLUR ON JAPANESE & CHINESE PEOPLE, ALSO MOCKING THEIR SIZE BY OMITTING A TORSO, AND LIMBS (ALTHOUGH THESE WOULD STRANGELY REAPPEAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ARCADE CABINET).
