I remember posting in the gi-normous Trek United thread in Trek News. You know, when they finally closed all Trek United talk in the ENT forum because it was so volatile, and let everyone congregate in that one thread that got HUGE really fast.

Does anyone visit the Trek United forums now?

Did people ever get their money back? -- I'm assuming that we'd have heard about it if they didn't....

I don't remember them as individual threads, they are more all one big thread. I'm chuckling remembering Tim Braezel (sp?) defending his car theft charge to the board. Oh, man. I may have to go back and read these sometime.

I still believe that "Al Vinci" was just one big fat joke created by TU's highest-level freaks as a device to retaliate and annoy/confuse their strongest detractors. His behavior alone convinces me of that. Towards the end of TU's "heyday", Al went on this huge wacky rant on a post at their messageboard that was eventually deleted by one of the moderators. The only other thing it convinced me of is that whomever wrote it had the mentality of a 13 year old.
