Parents' Pet Names For You

Laker_Girl

Mrs. Big Dick McGee
My parents very rarely address me by my name, when they do I'm in trouble or I'm at some function and they're introducing me to their friends. I don't like it when my parents use my proper name, it makes me nervous.

So I'm wondering, do your parents use your given name or do they have a pet name for you?

My pet names are:

Dad calls me: Shorty, Baby, and when I exaspertate him Honey or Dear.

Mom calls me: Miss, Miss Priss or Baby Girl...Although lately my niece has been Baby Girl and I'm happy to hand her the baton.

None at all, that I can remember. I still get called Christopher by my Mum, which is effectively an effectionate name, because I'm Chris to every other person in the world.

The only name my family ever called me is "Bobby". I don't mind if a pretty girl calls me Bobby, but it's Rob to everyone else, thank you.

Usually is was something along the lines of " Oh GOD! He's got a GUN again!"

But they only said that once.

My folks are quirky. I get called "The Lad" or "gerG". Neither of them are frequent. I put the smack down on "Sweetie pie" names a long time ago. My mother used to call me Pumpkin. Most of the time they just call me Greg. Yet, when I hear my full first, middle, and last name, I'm in deep shit. One of my ex's used to call me "babe". I hated it. Another called me "goose". I still don't know why.

When my brother was learning how to talk, they told him I was his big sister, and tried to get him to say "sister." He couldn't quite get it right, which is how I ended up with the pet name Sissy, or just Sis. This can be confusing when my Dad's sister and I are visiting at the same time, as we'll both answer to "Sis."

But they mostly just use my name. Thank goodness.

Mir, Mandi or Emmy.....and alot of the time I get called Memorey, which is my sisters name

Ohhh... when I was little, I had a TON of nicknames my dad would call me:

Railhead

Dingbat

Simple Simon

Nut Brain...
