Pinball Backglasses

The Legendary Troll King
Here's my most favorite table of all time, I just got the backglass for it. It's just fantastic!

I wish I had a big house, I would really start collecting pinball machines and old arcade games. I still subscribe to Gameroom...

I'd like a nice GORGAR machine to start...there are some similarities to the Fireball glass.

When I get home I'll have to grab some pictures of my Stepdad's basement.

He collects them as a hobby. I think he's got 15 or so.

Scored over 4,000,000 and got 52 free games in one game on this one back in 1979.

I think I remember that one.

There's my Gorgar. "The first talking pinball machine"

General Information about Gorgar: Designed by Barry Oursler. Art
by Constantino Mitchell. Made by Williams in January, 1979.

Comments: Gorgar Speaks! With great fanfare by Williams. A seven word
vocabulary! Isn't technology amazing? The first talking pinball game! Plus,
it really is fun to play. Single ball action with two banks of drop targets.

When I get a chance, I'll find some pics of the two pinball machines I plan to add to my basement in the next 3 or 4 years. They're both by Midway, one is called "Taxi Driver" (or just "Taxi", I don't remember), the other is called "Cyclone". Those are the two machines I cut my teeth on.

I'm sure you guys remember Hercules right??

Of the new games, The South Park game is great, but my favorite of the new(er) games is Elvira: Scared Stiff. Too bad it's like 15 grand!

Eggs...there's a magazine called gameroom?? AWESOME!!

Cyclone was awesome, as I recall. I'm tring to find a "World's Fair", it's an old Gottlieb, doesnt seem to be any info on it. All I remember is it was a PENNY machine!! 5 balls for one cent. Had a big ferris wheel that you could spin if you set it up on the board right, was one of those games that you worked for the big end for all through the game

I have one machine in the house, Capt Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. I'm planning on selling it to do the Fireball restoration, now that's it's finally finished and that one I'll keep. This restoration was fun, I learned alot about the analog vs digital wiring and bumper schemes, it's so cool. I should get a decent price for this table, cost me 200, and I've put about 1500 into it, but it's worth about 6,000 in this condition, according to Bally, who are bugging me to sell it to them.

I have 28 back glasses though :)

How do you display them, mounted or framed? I once had a fairly extensive collection of slot/video machine glass displays, but lost most of them. Think I have one left.

Oddly enough, I think "Capt Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" was the original working title of Brokeback Mountain, wasn't it?

LOL I think you're right OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111

I have them in one of those big poster metal frame things. They're all "spined" and "matted" with a thin pine frame each for support. You can flip them like the posters in the store, and see both sides.

I have room for about three more in this frame, and then I have to get another one.

Good idea. I don't have any wall art collections going right now, but for some reason lately I seemed to be acquiring autographed comics behind glass, mainly as gifts. Somebody gave me an Elfquest framed and mounted with autographs a couple years ago, then the other day I bought a bargain bin GIJoe for my boy that turned out to have the artist's auto on it. Nice, so I'll probably put that in a frame too. Hang them both in the kid's room...
