What are your favorite and/or most recomended poscasts?

When I'm puttering around the house doing stuff like cooking or laundry I like to listen to podcasts (If NPR doesn't have anything interesting to me on) but I don't have a very big selection, and I'm always looking for more...so if you have any suggestions, or just want to name your fav's, please do...I'm curious what people like to listen to...

Right now the 3 I listen to most are:

The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe.

Slice of Scifi.

And some of the various Slate Magazine Daily Podcast(s), and Slate's Grand Unified Weekley (a science audio-visual podcast).

I also tune in:

Stardate and Earth & Sky. (Also an NRP programs - and only a few minutes long each...)

And sometimes - when I miss them on the radio - NPR podcasts of shows like Science Friday, Weekend America, This American Life, and The Splendid Table.

And sometimes I tune is the sci-fi dramatizations on Escape Pod (reminds me of those old radio series, and I love those.) Or sometimes fan-casts like The Signal (Browncoat - Firefly/Serenity related) or like Galactica Watercooler...(no Star Trek or Doctor Who podcasts, that could probably change if I knew which were worth it out of the, doubtless, sea of different 'casts related to those shows...)

I'd love to know if anybody has any podcast recomendations for me, or I'd just like to hear what other's listen to. I like science and science-fiction related pods (or course) and also things or a skeptical or humanist or atheist bent, and quirky slice-of-life stuff, and news and politics...philosophy...and just anything...wierd or interesting...whatever ya got...

I'm a big-geek, so anything geek related. (Though I'm more of a science/sci-fi geek, not really a comic, anime, or gamer geek...) I found this new one that, as a geek *and* a parent (yes, I know, somehow I managed to get someone to have sex with me and even breed, despite my extreme geekiness) that I think looks interesting... How to Grow Your Geek.

(But I personally probably wouldn't care for any sports-related 'casts, or anything very right-wing, or anything focuses too much on celebrity pop-culture, or fundamentialist religion. But that's just me. But I'm open to just about anything else. And I'm a leftie myself, and I can get Air America online, but...I dunno...it's too...I just don't like pundints - even one's I might agree with.)

So what do you listen to?

I listen to Smodcast (Kevin Smith & Scott Mosier, with the odd guest replacing Mosier on his off days).

Kermode & Mayo's Film Reviews (Can't live without Kermode's views on the weeks movies these days)

Alan Brazil's Sports Breakfast (Just for the banter).

Stephen Fry's Podgrams (If only Fry updated it more regularly. What little has released has been fascinating).

The Ricky Gervais Podcast (now just a gradual dribble of commercial advertisments largely whoring Gervais side-projects)

Make It So (A Star Trek podcast, though I hardly follow Trek anymore, listening to a bunch of "fans", some who know something about Trek & others who claim to can be fun, but this is the most dispensible of my downloads).

Friday Night Comedy from BBC Radio 4 (alternates between The Now Show, fronted by Punt & Dennis, and the News Quiz hosted by Sandy Toksvig. Dry, funny & ascerbic, both. The News Quiz was the precursor to Have I Got News for You, and is still very, vert good).

606 Football Phone In (Sport - largely for Danny Baker's Tuesday stuff).

And a whole pile of music stuff.
