Prison Break: worth watching?

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
It starts here on Monday. I think BDM mentioned it's good. So is it worth watching? Does it start well but end up SUCKING by the end? Does it start poorly but end up good? IS IT A BIG PILE OF SHITE ALL THE WAY THROUGH? Tell me.

It's a good show. Highly implausible in certain things, but overall it's a solid show with great acting and very, very good writing. Just be prepared for a cliffhanger each episode, and one BIG one at the end of the 13th episode.

"highly implausible" is one way to describe it.

Wacky, you'll have to watch and decide for yourself.

I found the relentless violence numbing after awhile. (but we've already talked about my aversion to violence as entertainment)

and neither the acting nor the writing is as good as OZ, nor are the characters as richly defined.

and the constant cliffhanging gets old.

True, it is "implausible" but the question is, can you still enjoy it? If you don't like the violence, then I can see how it wouldn't appeal. And that's too sad that Wentworth isn't enough to keep you watching curiousa2z.

I found it very different from what else was on tv, so I like it a lot. Plus, looking at a sleeved out Wentworth is always a nice pastime. <g>

lol - tell me about it, Cy.
I continued to tune in alot longer than I normally would've just because of him!
looking forward to his next vehicle, because actually I think he is a very decent actor and is wasted on this drek.

Watched the first ep last night... looked... interesting...

Not too sure about it, but I'll probably tune in next week and find out

No, to be fair, it started out looking like it might have something.
....and of course for Wentworth Miller's sake I gave it a shot.

(Well, that, and of course 'Oz' was so well-written I was lured in thinking it would be an intelligent hybrid combining the best of '24' as well, since it stole that premise of condensed time around a story line along with the prison idea).
Ah, well, lesson learned finally.
