Problems With EI?

Yes, I get that too, but in another browser I also got:

"Ex Isle will be offline for a short while for routine daily maintenance.

To avoid inconvenience in the future, please schedule your browsing to avoid the minutes immediately after 1100 UTC (0600 EST).

Users from other planets/systems are urged to correct for lightspeed lag and relative velocity. We are not responsible for any violations of Relativity or Causality that may arise from improper conversions."

I have no clue if it is really down for maintenance, it seems an odd time to do it.

Yes. The server isn't handling the request properly.

We're not supposed to be able to view server php code. Ever.

From what I can gather the server company is having some major problems. ExIsle has been on and off all day as well as really wonky acting. I do know they are working on it, but no telling how long it will take.

The joys of the Internet. ;)

Well, it's time for TK to set up a refugee forum for our neighbors then, isn't it?

MM?

oh..... from over there.....

Let me guess: the file is called "index.php"?

Your local AOL cache is hanging onto a temporary error it cached during the crash yesterday. It should clear up soon (I'm a little surprised that it hasn't already). There's nothing we can do about their caches from our end. (Frankly, I'm not sure that even AOL is set up to wipe individual files from individual local caches) Just click "no", and report it to AOL if it persists.

[edited to add: I don't know AOL's browser, but it's possible that it's cached on your computer instead. Try wiping your browser cache:

For Macs: http://www.musiciansunion.org/aol_help/aol_mac_cache.html

I don't know if these are for the latest version. They were just the first two hits on Google.]

oooh and this....

There was a server overload the day before ysterday, and it may have recurred periodically.

The other board on our server is a Clay Aiken board. Apparently he made a surprise appearance on the American Idol finale, and the fans went wild, much the way we did when the nude pictures of KHC were released on the web

:D
