Porsche is sponsoring a rally at the hotel. Big national deal...120 cars from all over the world. Saw a mint burgundy LOTUS yesterday, which the owner promptly took me for a spin in. I thought I had died and gone to heaven, seriously I did.

I think the car that blew me away the most though was the jag. Some cherry '58 the XK100 or something. Three of them in the world in this condition. These guys who own these cars maintain them in perfect condition. Fanatical collectors. Make comic book rich fucks look stupid at that cash level.

These are the folks that arrived early. Everyone else comes today.

Porsche is trailering behind the rally, which is 1000 miles from here to somewhere deep in Canada and back, in case an owner's car fails for any reason, and then they get a shiny new CARRERA LTD EDITION model to drive.

they'll be back on Thursday for the end of the rally. basically, all I have to do to get a ride is schmooze the owner :) Fucking amazing
