Alternately: The difference is that the left wing doesn't crash the whole damn thing into the ground because it hates the passengers, all the while screaming that it's the right wing doing it.

There's no gloating in this, no, "I told you so" or "Called it!" about this. It isn't a surprise to me, and I don't feel good about it, because while it's expected that a state as callous toward human rights as China is would do something like this, it's raw-boned startling that any organ of our government would actively assist them in doing it. Equally as much as that our government at multiple levels would leverage a disaster that our government itself is partially culpable for in order to enact an unprecedented and brazenly illegal power grab.

For clarity: Part of our own government helped cause a global tragedy that cost millions of innocent lives, and then the rest of our government used that tragedy to trample our rights.

To say that that's a Nazi level crime against humanity doesn't encompass it -- even the Nazis weren't able to commit mass murder on a global level like this.

How do you know when a "conspiracy theory" stops being a theory? When the conspirators are on video confessing to it.

Democracy doesn't mean, "majority rules." It means that everyone (via fairly elected representatives) has a voice. Every. One.
