Dual really loved Ravenna. There's a spark in the air that I can't compare to anything I've experienced anywhere else but old Konstantinopoulos, almost like the city itself remembers its history. You keep expecting to turn out of an alley and see Theodoric, Belisarius, or Dante. San Vitale is spectacularly maintained; none of the pictures and reproductions out and about the world do its mosaics the slightest justice.
I could digress, but Facebook limits statuses to like 350 words.
