so there was a band performing at this little park as i walked up to it, and walking closer i discover it is none other than Fishbone, with Angelo blowin' his sax and singin' about chim chim's badass revenge... awesome coincidence, but i forgot to take a pic of the band, so you'll have to take my word for it.

You can see the haze and smog. We actually have prettier beaches. San Diego and Newport are gorgeous.
Those are nice pics though!! What I like best is the real people in them, you're not seeing the "be perfect, thin, and beautiful" side of so. Cal. life.

I love Venice Beach. I make it a point to get there whenever I'm in L.A.
Two things I demand you do:
1) Check out the old black dude who dresses up as a Bedouin and rollerskates up and down the boardwalk, wearing a battery pack and an amp and playing Jimi Hendrix on an electric guitar
2) Buy yourself some cheap sunglasses. I highly recommend that you find a pair of them 1970s-style Elvis shades, preferably in gold with gray lenses. (Mine are silver with red lenses and I wish I'd have went for the classic look.
)
