RIP Phillip Seymor Hoffman

Yeah, he looked older than that in Mission Impossible 3.

Which is the only film of his I could name off the top of my head.

He was good in that though.

Doubt
Almost Famous
Boogie Nights
Nobody's Fool
The Big Lebowski
The Master
Capote
Flawless
The Talented Mr. Ripley

...off the top of my head. What a sad loss. Addiction is a horrible disease.

It's pretty bad that Mission Impossible 3 is the only film of his I've seen too, but he really was good in that in what could have just been a generic action movie bad guy performance.

GO WATCH THE BIG LEBOWSKI, ALMOST FAMOUS AND BOOGIE NIGHTS RIGHT NOW.

the others I listed are great too but those are the three I know you will thank me for.

Wasn't he in the Civil War movie with Natalie Portman? Damn it, I can't think of the name... whatsherface from Bridget Jones got best supporting actress.

I was getting him mixed up with Keifer Sutherland in Dark City. That is one of my favorite movies. 46 is young. Damn. Also Hunger Games.

I've followed him since Boogie Nights and loved his work. He was a fine actor.

I'm not normally one to say OH I LOVED HIM AND AM CRYING, but yes it's a shame and I knew his work very well.

His last ever portrait, done using "Tintypes" antique method at Sundance.

He looks a fuckin mess.
