Robin Williams died

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Yeah you've already heard about it and posted on Facebook, but we need a thread so that most of us can say we're sad he died and then one person can show up and say "why are you sad that a celebrity died when MILLIONS of people die every day? I BET YOU DIDN'T EVEN LIKE THE HUGELY POPULAR COMEDIAN WHEN HE WAS ALIVE!" And also it was suicide and that's always a fun topic.

I think it's sad that he died and also the way he died is very sad.

He and I had the same birthday. :( I just happened to watch him in August Rush last night.

RIP - Depression sucks.

We lived in Denver when my daughter was little and Mork and Mindy was a popular TV show. We drove up to Boulder many times looking for Mork.

I remember Robin Williams going to a very dark place during a comedy act back in the early 80s. The audience collectively knew it was time to quietly get up and back out of the room.

He used his comedy to fight his demons. Just goes to show that a person can have popularity, fame and fortune and still be miserable.

I want to know about this dark place.

Usually I'm only a little sad when a popular celebrity dies, they are strangers after all, but for some reason Robin Williams seems a bit different. Maybe because he was in so many things, and always so funny and good (not that he wasn't in a few terrible movies).

In terms of recent shocking celebrity deaths I'd say that Rik Mayall's hit me a lot worse, just because I've consistently rewatched all his stuff throughout my entire life. It felt like losing a friend. But this one is pretty upsettng too because he's someone who was kind of always there, you know? And I feel bad for Zelda Williams (I know he had other children too) because I follow her on Twitter and she's nice.

I just lost it.
I really just lost it.
Robin Williams is dead.
I think I was in shock before
I didn't mean those jokes
I am really fucking upset right now

wtf
this is so wierd
