Bladev, Islandgirl, and I all recieved a warning from Cait's suspension thread. VKD got a 1 month suspension.

No problem.

^Yes, that is quite clear. I'm surprised, Rommie - maybe I haven't been paying attention, but it really shocked me that you would take such a stance.
 
I'm tired of seeing the staff leaving their posts, because they can't handle the bull from the membership questioning each and every little thing that they do. I'd be damned tired of it too.

Rommie, some staff have left/are leaving not because of the 'bull' from the membership, but the 'bull' from the staff themselves

Rommie, READ what she just said. READ IT!

If you think that some of the Staff have stepped down because of the membership, honey you're just wrong. They've stepped down because of other Staff and the direction those staff want to take the board.

You can *choose* to defend the Staff, but at least be informed by the *truth* before you decide where you stand.

Good Staff have stood down because of what is going on in the SL, not for what is going down on the board.

Do you want back on Staff this badly hon? Do you? So baldy that you'd ignore the truth spoken by ex-Staff who were there?

Yep - I can think of 3 or 4 who stepped down because of what's going on, and I think there will be more...I know there will be more. The current administration is driving good mods and admins away.
 
That's a rather obvious trend Rae.

It's something I have been bemoaning since you all started disappearing.

When all the good staff are gone who are you left with Rommie?

While, people like Rommie [sorry hon, you know I care for you, but...] turn a blind eye to the truth.

It is easier to do that, because the alternative is so messy. The alternative is battling it out until Staff return to the service they once pledged to give to the community. the alternative is having half the membership get right up in your face until you want to scream. So What?

Democracy is rowdy and loud! If you are looking for a peaceful AQG, go to a board where there is no member input. If you like that kind of thing, go. That's not what EI was founded on. You all think it is an easy thing to take away freedom, be it on a stupid message board or in real life. Well, it isn't. Some people go down kicking and screaming, while some people welcome it with open arms because they are just too lazy or too afraid to stand up for something they believe in.

Yep a member driven board is a nightmare for staff. Look at TK. We can't sell Staff positions around here. But you know what, it's BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE!!!!
