Brand is fantastic. His "brand" of humor isn't so much an "act" as it is an extension of his own personality. And not all people can like all people. So you either like him or you don't.
Fact of the matter is he isn't as formulaic as you pointed out, Whisky. He finds the irreverent humor in all types of things and all subjects. Hence why Ponderland was so good.
He's one of the only comedians that actually makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis and he is always doing new things and he hardly EVER recycles any jokes.
Thank fuck for that! There's nothing on telly now BB's over. (except for Desperate Housewives, Medium and Numb3rs, which are conveniently shown all at the same time)
Heroes is being shown on the BBC "shortly after" it's US airing, which could mean just over a week (Ugly Betty started off being shown on C4 10 days behind the US airing). I hope so, as it'll be nicer to watch it on TV than downloading.
I'll look forward to QI, but recent series haven't been as informative IMO. I like the comedic aspects, but lately there've been about 10 minutes of every edition taken up with tired sexual innuendos.
