SaintLucifer Blogs Against The Quebecois!

I have recently completed a blog outlining what exactly the province of Quebec should do these days, and what Canada should do to those divisive forces of Quebec 'nationalism'. As everyone should know by now, Quebec has demanded to be a nation within a nation. I should like to ask, by what right do they have to dictate terms to the rest of Canada? I say we put our Canadian Forces to good use, withdraw them from that shithole Afghanistan, and re-invade Quebec. Let us teach those francophone bastards a lesson they will not soon forget.

The Battle of the Plains of Abraham was a pivotal battle in the North American theatre of the Seven Years' War, known in the United States as the French and Indian War. The confrontation between elements of the British Army, Royal Navy and the French Army was fought on a plateau just outside and to the west of the walls of Quebec City, the capital of New France, on the land of Abraham Martin dit L'Écossais. The battle involved fewer than 10,000 troops in total between both sides, but proved to be a deciding moment in the conflict between France and Britain over the fate of New France and influence the later creation of Canada.

The culmination of a three-month siege with the Royal Navy patrolling the St. Lawrence River and French troops entrenched along the north shore of the river as well as within the fortified city of Quebec, the battle lasted less than an hour, during which time tactics devised by the British commander, General James Wolfe, proved successful in breaking the column advance of French and Canadien troops under Louis-Joseph, Marquis de Montcalm. Both generals were mortally wounded during the battle; Wolfe died on the field and Montcalm passed away the next morning.

In the wake of the battle and the loss of control over Quebec and the St. Lawrence, France's remaining military force in Canada and the rest of North America came under increasing pressure from greater British forces, and within four years French control in what would become eastern Canada was ceded to Great Britain.

The Quebec sovereignty movement is a political movement aimed at attaining independent statehood (sovereignty) for the Canadian province of Quebec. The term separatist is used interchangeably with sovereigntist (alternate spelling sovereignist) outside of Quebec[citation needed].

In layman’s terms, separatism, independence and sovereignty all refer to the same goal of having the province of Quebec leaving Canada to become a country on its own, with future possibilities of various collaborations with Canada. However, sovereignty is the term most commonly employed.

With a sovereign state, Quebec separatists and sovereignists claim that the people of Quebec will be better equipped to foster their own economic, social, and cultural development. Sovereignists are generally not in opposition to federalism as a concept[citation needed], but are opposed to the present federal system in Canada and do not believe it can be reformed in a way that could satisfy what they see as the desire of Quebecers to govern themselves apart from the rest of Canada in all respects.

The idea of sovereignty for Quebec is based, according to its proponents, on historical and sociological evidence that Quebecers are a people and a political nation—see Identity Politics. However, when polled, only Francophone Quebecers believe they belong to a Quebec nation, and non-Francophone Quebecers reject this idea. Still, the Francophone Quebecer political class feel that they have democratic control over a state of their own, but that inside the Canadian federation as it currently stands, this state does not have the constitutional powers which the Quebec government needs to be the effective national government of Quebecers.

Notice the use of 'Quebecer' here. None too bright are outsiders? They NEVER call themselves Quebecers, only Quebecois. Call them a Quebecer to their face and they are liable to belt you across the mouth. This is why I do it constantly.

The best thing about Toronto still is SARS. Imagine, a deadly communicable disease as a tourist attraction.

Ahhh, SARS. It took the venerable Canadian health-care system to put a stop to it, so much so we had to teach the 'smart' Chink doctors how to treat it. Incredibly enough, we had to teach the Americans the same thing. Yes, the USA, owners of the world's most-expensive health-care system couldn't figure out what to do about SARS. It was a Toronto doctor who pinpointed SARS, named it and discovered how to stop it. Never forget it.
