I most certainly have figuratively kissed US nukes. It is fact if not for those nukes we would be living under the Soviet hammer and sickle, only because the Soviet conventional forces were more than a match for all of NATO, never mind the US forces alone. I stand by my belief the US did indeed protect the free world if only because they owned more nukes than the rest of the world combined did (this includes the Soviet Union). What you lacked in conventional forces you made up for with greater numbers of nukes.

I stand by my statement that Canada does indeed owe the USA a debt of gratitude simply because I am smart enough to know without those nukes, the Soviets would have marched right into Ottawa.

I have, in my mind's eye, kissed the over 6,000 nukes the US owned which kept me from becoming a fucking Soviet communist. Why is your post harping about my own statement of fact? I am not stupid enough to believe the US did otherwise. I know the facts of the world and this is one of them. What exactly is it you are hoping to gain with this thread?
