Damnit! That's a gorgeous firearm!

M16 A1's have an overly-complex firing mechanism that jams all too easily. The A2 variant didn't solve that problem much.

AK-47's have a far less complicated firing mechanism and they fire a round larger and faster than the M16's. That Galil is an Israeli counterpart to the AK. It's collapsable, fiberglass stock and pistol grip drop the weight considerably from ten pounds to less than seven. An M16 weighs a little over seven lbs.

So, a more lightweight and compact rifle that fires more reliably and is easier to fix that also fires a harder-hitting round.

OR

A somewhat bulky weapon that is too big for close quarters combat which jams far too often and isn't easy to repair yet fires a round that can't go through class 4 armor (just a little better than street police issue vests).

What would a real man take?

PS the whole patriotism to your American firearm doesn't apply either. Israel are our allies. And Russia, the inventor of the AK, are our allies as well. We won the cold war. Good thing it didn't become hot, because an AK vs an M16.... not a pretty sight.

I like the M-16 because that's what I'm used to, and anyone who thinks it's too bulky for close quarters combat hasn't been properly trained ;)

^Not by your choice though, IIRC.

Isn't this the piece that folds into a flashlight? I saw a vid on that a couple of weeks ago.

I have one of each.

I put a muzzle brake on my AK.
My "collection" is limited to 2 assault rifles, a couple of gauges, a .308 scoped long gun,a sweet old semi automatic .22 rifle , a Beretta92fs 9mm, and an SW.357.
Thats it...and all legal. Around here there are no resale laws for private sale.
Enjoy the Photobucket images.
Brawl Hall is a shithole. I am banned there.
I don't care for the sound of guns being discharged.
I have no M60 ,M14, GREASE GUN, hand held anti tank weapons, or grenade launchers.

Iblah blah blah
My "collection" blah blah... blah blah blah.

So you own some guns...

*yawn*

Great. This place is EXACTLY like BH, so I'm sure you're gonna enjoy your ban here, too.

You own guns, and you seem like an efficient gun-nut. However, you don't like the sound of guns!?

I have no M60 ,M14, GREASE GUN, hand held anti tank weapons, or grenade launchers.

So no blaze of glory?
