Seeing your breath

So, it was below freezing and I couldn't see my breath. Yesterday it warmed up and rained and I could see my breath. This leads me to believe it is not a simple question of temperature. Perhaps humidity, or atmospheric pressure, or time of day are important. We may never know. Just one of those unsolvable mysteries like gravity and why they let Paul Verhoeven direct again after Showgirls.
