The ex-in-law has gone-a-missin' and this time my parents won't be giving the kids back.

Turns out, she's been living this crazy ass lie of a life and now that she's been all found out we can't find her. Of course the worst part is that the kids miss her like crazy and they've been told they can no longer live with her which makes them sad. It breaks my heart but in the long run we know they'll be better off in a stable home and in a stable routine and if their mom gets help she can see them whenever she or they want.

Where's their dad you ask? Here and he visits but he doesn't have a good track record of sticking around either so my parents aren't letting him have them either.

I almost wish I had the energy to get into the whole absolutely INSANE story but it's long, reads like a fat lie ('cause shit like this doesn't happen in real life), and I'm over it. Now I have to focus on being the best Auntie/Mom I can be.
 
Okay, the nut is in a psychiatric hospital. The nerd she's got convinced is in love with her lyin' ass is moving her into his place once she's released.

If someone told you that everything you've known about someone for an entire year is a total lie wouldn't you run like your ass was on fire? That fucktard is going to get what he deserves. What a stooge.
 
I'm glad you and your folks are there for the kids, L_G. They don't deserve this crap. Some people should just not be parents.
 
No, I'm sorry, you're mistaken. IIIIIIII'm raising them, not your parents.

The kids will continue to be the angelic angels they have always been.
 
^Now you want to raise them? Sorry, I'm not inclined to allow trash to raise my precious niece and nephew. It's a shame the state didn't feel the same way when they let your parents continue to raise you. But thems the brakes, eh Sunshine. ;)
 
If there's one thing I have come to realize, when the kids whine for a mom that won't be there, never lie. Just say that you are there for them, love them and would never leave them.
 
Of course, you could just have them put to sleep, and save a lot of fuss and bother.

Believe me, they're cute now... wait until they grow up and believe that they're entitled to everything they desire.

That needle will seem pretty attractive.

I think your sister-in-law should be granted release from her psychiatric hospital (unless I missed something again. Sorry, I didn't read, just skimmed). Then she should be forced to spend 45 days of hard time as Paris Hiltons cellmate.

LG, are you watching the niece and nephew solo or are their time split with you and your parents? I can't imagine that this being easy, dropped on you like this.
