Let's look at those medals...
From left to right, top to bottom
Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Distinguished Service Medal,
Legion of Merit (oak leaf cluster), Bronze Star (two oak leaf clusters), Purple Heart (oak leaf cluster),
MSM (oak leaf cluster), Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal? (oak leaf cluster)
I can't quite make out the one on the bottom right. It doesn't matter. He's been awarded three Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. He's earned the right to call himself an American in my book.
My only problem with the guy is that he issued the order for all Army Personnel to wear the black berets that previously belonged solely to the Rangers.
