Clashes between soldiers on the Lebanese-Israeli border have left at least two dead, officials said today, amid reports that a high-ranking Israeli soldier had also been killed.

A Lebanese security official said two Lebanese soldiers died in shelling in the most serious fighting on the border since a fierce war four years ago.

The official said Israeli shelling struck near a military vehicle in the border town of Adaisseh, setting it on fire and killing two soldiers inside the vehicle. At least one soldier was seriously wounded.

Meanwhile Hezbollah's al-Manar television was reporting that a high-ranking Israeli soldier had been killed in an exchange of fire between the two.

The TV station quoted security sources and said the Israeli army was trying to move the officer's body from the area near the village of Adaisseh.

12:43pm OTV: 10 artillery rounds fell in Adeisseh, one of which near a Lebanese army post.
12:40pm Future News: A Lebanese soldier and another civilian were injured in the fighting.
12:38am VDL: The clashes erupted after the Israeli army tried to cut some trees inside Lebanese territories.
12:36pm LBC: Israeli tank hit a house in Adeisseh.
12:34pm NNA: Exchange of gunfire between Lebanese and Israeli soldiers along the border town of Adeisseh.
12:31pm MTV: An Israeli tank fired an artillery shell on a Lebanese army position on the outskirts of Adeisseh.
12:30pm Future News: Lebanese and Israeli armies go on alert in Odeisseh.

Re: CU - Nice to see you again.

Re: the subject of this thread: And we care...why? Neither side interests me in that conflict, we should pull funding from both sides (because we ARE giving money to Lebanon, what faction I forget) and let 'em chew on each other until they get tired of it, or one's gone.

Use the savings to prosecute Wall-Street fat-cats or reduce the deficit.

I care and I dunt care if u care, Ill post what I want about it when I want.

US will always give $ to various factions, thats their job....along with the UN, to make bullets cheap and manifacture dissent...when it suits ofc.
So get used to it, God knows millions of ME'ers are.

-When HA massacres people it something normal , but when one of HA dogs gets killed
they destroy the whole country.

-This Fawaz guy is, but if he truly is the security chief of Hezbollah, as some people say,
I really don't think he was killed just by chance, especially in a parking lot fight. LOL

-It seems al Ahbash are well armed , they lasted few hours fighting and can keep on if
needed , they were tough and hurt hezb.

-Bass the mosque is hit by more than 100 RPG!

-Now we got a mini demonstration for what hezb will do if the tribunal accuses him.

-March 8 are heavily armed and are extremely vicious to a point that they killed each
other today like wild hyenas. So this is really an eye opener for what will come when the
tribunal points its finger.

-My respects to the army but again our job is not to pamper them because its a popular
thing to do. Our minimal rights include our safety and when the service sucks we should
make a fuss of it.
And one more thing. For those who claim that hizbala is not sectarian in anyway and
have a strong support base in all sects. They found it very easy in their hearts to simply
destroy the a7bash mosque, thus disregarding all sensitivities and red lines and
displaying their true feelings in moments of anger and frustration over their heavy losses
to what they think as an inferior sect.

Ok, SuN, you care. Cool, free country.

But as a matter of foreign policy where MY tax dollars are spent, why shouldn't I be petitioning my senator to pull funding?

If you want to send money to prop up a foreign power, that's your right. I just don't like it when my government does it.
