Should we have FUCKING appreciated Russell Brand more while we still had him?

I cant get any sound. :(

Turn it up!

We appreciated him enough at the time. He was a living legend!

From the vid I love that

a) He licks his finger before yanking the swingometer off, as people do when turning pages.

b) that it narrowly misses severing a young lady's leg.

Tonight, CBS is rerunning the recent Letterman on which Russell appeared.

I think I remember that being youtubed here. Letterman didn't seem to quite get what Russ was on about some of the time.

Jon Connell deserves respect too, his acting was quite and I was almost convinced he was genuinely upset.

The Letterman interview was too short I think.

When you're the guest in between the HUGE IMPORTANT FIRST guest and the BIG IMPORTANT BAND that closes the show, you rarely get much time.

He should have jumped up on the desk, kicked Letterman in the face, and taken over.

He could get away with that on Leno, Kimmel, Ferguson, O'Brien, O'reilly, Larry King, and definitely The View.

But Letterman has the whole "I had quintuple heart bypass surgery and just had a kid in my fifties, so now I'm a sacred figure on TV, so YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS" vibe now. It would backfire.

He should definitely do it on Rachel Ray, but he has to do it until she's dead.

p.s.
have you left the city yet?!

The weather sucks, plus I overslept. I needed some me time.

I imagine they are not happy with me up there. ;)

being family, likely not. But they'll get over it. ;)

I liked it when the London whale was trapped in the Thames during one serious of BBBM. Russell got a lot out of that.

So I guess I should see Forgetting Sarah Marshall?

why, is Russell in that?

Yes, it was why he appeared on Letterman.

Otherwise, no one in America besides Mine Fielders would have known who he is.

omg! well, hopefully others in America 'got him' a bit better than Letterman seemed to!

If he is, he's a lucky so-and-so.

This was confirmed on the radio show last night, but only because Noel stuck his nose in it, Russ seemed to be trying to keep it private.

Basically Noel was talking about how they are all going somewhere on Friday, and Russ is bringing his new bird, and Russell said something along the lines of, What, no I'm single, single Russell, and so on, but then they talked about it, apparently she's becoming a vegetarian because of him.

And I don't get the radio show really either being in Canada, I listen online on the bbc website. www.bbc.co.uk/radio2, you can even listen after the fact using the listen again feature.

So, another question-- I'm on the site, and it says the show is two hours. I assume that's also with music. So when you download or listen to the podcast, do you also hear the music?

No, they take the music out of the podcast, it ends up about 1 hour. 1 hour of sheer genius and bliss! :)

Exactly, but they cut up the podcast quite a bit. The actual show, without music is usually about an hour and a half to an hour and forty minutes (they really don't play very much music).
You can download whole episodes of the radio show, with just the music and the news cut out of them here http://www.russellbrandradioshows.zoomshare.com/6.html.
Personally I think they cut some really funny stuff out of the podcasts.
