I am struggling to think of a white celebrity who ever did get sent to prison for rape.

I mean there was Tyson of course, but I would hate to think he only got convicted because he was black.
 
Yeah, but he plead guilty.

Kind of hard not to go to prison when you do that.

But get a jury involved and they tend to let you go.
 
It is a bit awkward when everyone has to describe a person as innocent when the general feeling is that the verdict was wrong, but maybe the jury saw stuff we don't know about? I didn't follow the trial, was did the evidence seem quite straightforward?

Just an almost never ending parade of women saying he groped them, which his rebuttal seemed to be "no I didn't"

I guess the jury took his word over all of theirs.
 
In the Ken Barlow case, the testimony did have huge holes in it from what I saw (saying that another castmember warned them not to go near Ken when that castmember didn't join until a decade later.)
