Yeah, it's just awesome. AWESOME.

But I don't know what to do. Should I buy a Gamecube in April so I can play it straight away or should I wait for the Revolution to come out and play it on that since it's backwards compatible and Zelda Twilight might have extra features on the Rev.

???

Is it really coming out in April? I thought it was maybe coming out neither to the Rev's release.

There's lots of other (well, a few) good Cube games you might eventually buy too, but as you said the Rev is backwards compatible...then again Cube is CHEAP AS SHIT at the moment, probably.

So in short I don't know.

Yeah, neither do I. And yep, last I heard TP is slated for an April 15th release.

Get this. It apparantley has 100 hours of game play.

And is over twice the size of Ocarina of Time!!

And it is coming out on the Gamecube. For sure. Revolution is coming out in July *I think* so thats only a few months after release. I will have to play it by ear. If I can find a really cheap GC I will get it.

July for Rev? I heard November! And knowing Nintendo I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't out here (Europe) until 2007.

And I heard the 100 hours too, that's if you do all the side quests (which I will)...still sounds insanely huge.

They have been spending these delayed months on making the game better (obviously) but usually when a game is delayed it's because of bugs and technical issues. From what I can gather they don't have any serious bugs they delayed it simply to make it bigger and better. Huge new areas, more dungeons, more story refinment, texture sharpening, secrets, the whole kabang.

They are hell bent on making an Ocarina beater which is still eight years after release considered one of the greatest games of all time. It's scores from critics averaged between a 9.5 and a perfect 10 across the board. Nintendo are using this game (this is my guess) to hype up Nintendo in general.

The N64 was a great console but it ran into trouble against the Playstation. The cartridge system was old and held back a lot of media content.

BUT the reason that Nintendo were able to brave the storm was because it had some seriously amazing games.

Namelly:

Goldeneye

Ocarina of Time

Mario 64

Those three were awesome and went beyond the pale in every way imaginable. They secured Nintendos future.

With Zelda Twilight they want to bring something innovative and beyond the pale once again to re-invigorate the Nintendo brand and hype Revolution up. I expect they will announce the next Zelda game for Revolution shortly after Twilight is released.

The only way the plan can work is if Twilight is a complete knock-out title and wows everyone. Not an easy task, it has to beat Ocarina in every respect and beating perfection is a tough order.

I reckon they had Zelda Twilight in the bag in November. But at that time it was a 9.0/10 game.

With these extra months they are turning it into the 9.8/10 game that will rev up the hype (excuse the pun)

Ok, well that's my theory.

Well, there was a story that it was being delayed because they were making it compatible with the Revolution controller. So even thought it's a Cube game it would be worth buying a Revolution for. But Nintendo apparently denied this. SO WHO KNOWS. It will rock the sex though, I don't see how it couldn't.

I've been playing Twilight Princess on the cube for over 70 hours now.. I still have 3 1/2 dungeons to go and I haven't done half the side quests. It is beautiful, and fun. It's not as hard as Ocarina of Time but it seems to be even more fun to play.

I may not get the Wii.. if I do it'll be this summer and I didn't want to wait to play Zelda. I'm glad I didn't cause it is awesome.
