Nothing like that yet. I've only had problems with Alt-Tab'ing. If I Alt-Tab 2-3 times it freezes the game.
My 6800 Ultra is tearing the game up, but I have a friend who's playing it on an ATI 9800 all-in-wonder and to play he has to turn everything to low and turn the grass off.

I am having no problems with Oblivion. But I have tweaked it in every concivable way. You cannot have ANYTHING running in the background. And ALT-TAB to desktop won't work because of a memory managment process in windows.
The ini has to be tweaked with some great FPS boosters and you will need a decent system.
The game is fucking awesome though. It truly is brilliant.
For those that have the game perhaps we could post up pics of our characters.

Also you should check out www.elderscrolls.com forums. They are one of the busiest forums on the internet. An entire page gets bumped to page two in a matter of minutes. there is some great stuff going on in the community of which I'm a member.
