Cena and Batista?

I don't think so. The WWE seems to have been spoiled by having a steady stream of high profile fan favourites over the years. I've only started watching wrestling again recently but it seems empty without any huge headliner. Cena and Batista are just not The Rock or Austin material.

Amd frankly it makes it suck.

As I see it the last "superstar" created was Brock Lesnar unless you count the divas, and they aren't exactly known for their work rate.

I think it's terribly difficult to gage who's going to become the "next big thing" since it's really the fans who dictate who's over.

I think Bastista had the best shot of the current guys but has 2 major factors that can't be overcome: his age and his reliance on steroids. Let's face it, the roids make the man, and at his age, 37 or 38, he's much more prone to injury. Maybe he could be an action hero.
