So who IS Ron Paul?

The thought of you assisting in Ron Paul's presidential campaign, the thought of you handing out Ron Paul flyers all around NYC.

The fact that you referred to yourself as "Messy."

I, as an American (One born in this country to foreigners), have never once felt more proud to be a citizen of this nation (This is all ad lib BTW) (No, seriously%########) to see someone like Paul come out with guns blazing and utterly pwning so many topics at once. And he's a pretty old guy, but he still mops the floor with the rest of the talking heads. You know, that gigantic American political hydra which pretends its heads stem from different bodies.

I am of the opinion... well shit, I'm going to get a webcam soon and I will tell you myself what it think of it, on Youtube. And embarrass myself in front of my mortal enemies here with my unshaven personasomething and I was going to say that Americans deserve every single hardship that has come upon what used to be the most progressive and advanced nation on Earth.

I mean, it's not like Americans have the right to VOTE, or anything. That's pussy Communist shit. Americans are meek, just like our comrades in Cuba. We're scared little bitches because, it's not like 'we've' ever been through hardships before. No, sir. We need Giuliani, the most hated man in New York, to protect us from Osama Von Boogieman.

There have been..... there soon will be major terrorist attacks. That's why we need a total asshole in the White House.

Call me ;)

I was confused...I thought you said ASSASINATING...

I helped campaign for Kerry last election, then found out

he was actually Bush's frat brother. Little jaded now...

Ron Paul..Mike Gravel..

The illusion of real choice. Both of them.

They both have huge steel balls to take on the platform of the Presidential race and in a bipartisan way tackle issues that threaten the very fabric of democracy as opposed to whether women can abort babies or not and where on the narrow spectrum of policy one lands when it comes to the Middle East and instead actually bring some home truths to bear. It is ultimatley amusing watching the mainstream media attempt to bury both of them.

Neither will ever be President though.

Now, we have to put a lid on the truth for a while because I'm pretty sure Guliani wants to remind us that he was Mayor of New York on 9/11 for the 500th time.

He was on the Daily Show last night. I liked him, but he probably doesn't have a chance against the big money.

Will TK be endorsing a candidate in the upcoming US elections? Whoever gets the TK endorsement is likely to get a boost that take them all the way to the nomination.

I hate such an attitude. It's so self-fulfilling, ya know?

^ Yeah, but it's also true. I like the guy and his message. Always have, going back to the first time I was aware of him when he ran as a Libertarian in '88. But, because he actually makes sense, the anointed ones will do whatever they have to do to bury him.

Sad, but that's the way this shit works these days. Maybe if he can use these debates to get his message out early and acquire a substantial fanbase they won't be able to squelch him. It's still a longshot.

And ya know, I'm REALLY not a fan of the perpetual election cycle. I'm not sure I ever really had any kind of faith in the "system", but if I did it's evaporated almost completely over the last dozen years.

I don't think the attitude is self fulfilling, the attitude is caused by the way things are. Shit I'd vote for him over the other yahoos in a heartbeat... not that I think it really matters who wins the elections anymore.

Well, the primaries will decide who the candidates actually are, anyway, and I have no say in that at all. By the time it gets around to me, it's done and we get to decide between the lesser of two evils AGAIN.

He has an ice cubes chance in hell to win the GOP nomination IMHO. The GOP propaganda machine will paint him as a wacko, he will run as a third party candidate in the 2008 election and get 8-10% of the vote is my prediction. I think he is just being put up there to syphon off votes from the democrats so the GOP has a chance of winning in 2008.

I'm up for wasting my vote and causing as much chaos and confusion between the two parties as I possibly can.

I think implying that a third party candidate causes one party or the other to lose is the propaganda. But yeah, the republicans will do what ever they think is necessary to discredit him. Hopefully he can maintain his sensible demeanor.. he comes across as someone with a lot of common sense.
