Something I noticed watching Lost this week.

The inside of the Others submarine was definitiley a Gato Class US sub used in the Pacifc theater during WWII. But the outside of the sub looked nothing like a Gato Class. I guess it may just be that they filmed the scenes in an actual Gato sub but used a different exterior design but I thought it was worth mentioning. Either way, they were going for a WWII design.

Well the outside is probably just a fiberglass prop, and the inside was probably a real sub in the museam at pearl harbour.

There is an excellent army museam near wakkiki beach, I used to go to that every few days when I had my holiday in hawiee 12 years ago, everything from WWI to vietnam era stuff.

Dont think they had any submarines though, although they did have some cool helicopters.
