It was a boring game overall, but the tense finale made it a somewhat memorable final.

It was NOT a boring game - anything but. Extra time was boring, because they all looked pooped. The full 90 minutes was excellent.

Agreed. The game could've gone either way - that's the reason I hate shoot-outs - it's just luck. - hence the chewed nails! The tension on everyone's faces - keepers as well as players! Oy! Poor John T, I felt so badly for him when he missed.
great match - ticket holders sure got their money's worth of entertainment. those guys must be exhausted.

Yes Cassie - Man U won - thanks for the cheerleading! It was close though - they had to go to shootouts and only just made it..hard won game in the pouring rain on sod that had been laid down two days earlier and kept slipping from under the players! sheesh.

Well, I found the game to be boring. From the technical side, the guys were playing poorly. Your non-boredom may be attributed to the fact that, though boring, it was a close -and tense- game. Hence, fans of both teams would've enjoyed the pressure of watching a thrilling game (in the sense that the winner wasn't revealed until the end, the game play itself wasn't thrilling at all). As a somewhat impartial observer, I found the game to be one of the most boring CL finals.

Did you participate in Man Utd fan festivities, by the way, or were you too busy writing stupid shit on the internet ?
 
oh! i forgot to add - when both Anelka AND Ronaldo missed their shots - we are all "NO WAI!" there go some more nails!
