That's right. I'm still obsessed with this show because Starz started showing the series every Monday night, and I can't get over how fucking epic and awesome this show is/was and how little credit it got come awards time. The music alone should have been nominated.

So I'm posting all things Sparty in this thread. FEEL FREE TO POST TOO

That bit took me out of the episode a little (especially as the fire effects were a bit cheesy as well), but I guess it was good to have some light relief when we were worried about EVERYONE!
 
Awesome Oenomaus vid. I read about the actor, Peter Mensah. Had no clue he is also an extremely experienced and skilled fighter.

I'm a fan of his on Facebook and he posted about being on Burn Notice this season. I stopped watching that a while ago but I'm tempted to catch up since he's on it. I was pissed when they killed his character on True Blood last season.
 
^I was pissed too. I got all excited and shouted Doctore when he popped up on screen, scaring the friend I was watching it with since he'd never seen Spartacus (it shames me to admit that about him). Then he's dead like three or four in. Fuckers.

I'm resisting watching these vids since I can't watch the damn show till it's released on DVD and I don't want to spoiler myself.. There's a lot to be said for not having cable but this isn't one of them.

That's funny about you yelling his character name, I could see me doing that. I remember the first time they showed him fighting, sans shirt, and I was stunned... the man looked like a marble sculpture. He's magnificent. Which is really saying something when the whole show is filled with sweaty, muscular men. Humina humina.
 
Awww...I didn't know you hadn't been able to watch it yet. The vids are more actually like voicing over clips and using pop music during a scene. It's like a montage. But steer clear of the last vid, since that one has the characters dying and people's reactions.

And yes...MARBLE is the perfect way to describe Peter Mensah.
