Not to dice it down too much but it's a Gen Discussion forum with a more mature take. Things like picture posts without a valid discussion attached, or "would you hit it" threads are not welcome in Speak Sanely. There is allready places for these types of threads and they are catered for all over the board. There must be a real tangible discussion to be had.
Multiple topics posted which are of a similar type which are basically just the same theme over and over again will get moved as well. Everything will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If you're really unsure whether it goes in here then it pobably doesnt.
Remember this is a newly added forum. Nothing has been taken away. All the old forums are intact. This is another option for those who wish to discuss everything from their holidays to the mating habits of the Baracuda (not sure why you would though) without the usual childish off topic spam and vast amounts of pointless threads sinking their valid topics.
The only prerequisite is that this is kept tidy, free of pointless spam and is kept at least loosley on topic. There will be no major crackdown if the odd topic goes off on a tangent becuse it's not that important, it's more of a do it yourself type of atmosphere. Spammy responses, especially multiple spammy responses will be moved. Topics without a real discussion point (don't even bother trying to define this, you know them when you see them) will be moved. Use common sense and you will never notice these rules bothering you. If you don't like the simple restrictions then Speak Freely is still spamming away.
This is here to cater to the grown ups when they want to take advantage of the gift of Free Speech here at TK without spam or disruption to their topics.
These are the guidelines. Common sense will see you through. If you're devoid of it then the rest of the board still awaits.
