Spielberg says film industry might implode!

E.T. actually played for 56 months! I misread a year & four MONTHS as a year & four DAYS:frusty: I remember the Summer of '82: Poltergeist, E.T., TWOK, Conan, Ridgemont, TRON:rockon:!

Taking my wife to pictures usually costs more than what it would cost to buy the bluray on the day of release.

Take our son with us two, and it costs more than a meal out at a good resteraunt.

Buy food from the cinema, and one film for a family of three could easily cost as much as a weeks food shopping.

Remember back when ET played for 369 days:phpquestion: And Raiders Lost Ark also played for a year plus in the theater. More recently, Home Alone. Not my cup of coffee, but it DID play in theaters for OVER six months.

Moving on, $25.00 for an effing movie ticket:phpquestion:

As the Pumpkin King would say, eff them in the neck:pissed:

Thats why I only watch movies in theaters when I win free movie tickets from the local radio station.

I see flickets ab$urdly inflating in price:no: Maybe(:phpquestion:). Might they hit price$ comparable to the current co$t of an average NFL ticket:phpquestion: I hope not.

It was just a matter of time before theaters inflated the ticket prices. Hell they've been inflating the price of popcorn, candy and soda for years. Its nothing new, concert promoters and vendors have been doing it since the '80's and '90's. I once went to a concert and paid $10 for a chicken fajita and a small fruit cup.

:mad:It's downright criminal what moviehouses & like venues charge for food & drinks. Soda machines selling 20 oz bottles for $2.75:pissed:

I don't understand why all the food sold in cinemas is so bloody noisy. Popcorn, nachos, sweets in plastic wrappers. And what a waste of money. I never buy any and I get annoyed by people who do.

Especially when they have little adverts telling you to turn your phone off and not talk during the film.

Ok, phone off, no talking, crunch crunch, chomp chomp, nosh nosh.

I never buy any either. Its an insult to us fat people to think we can't go 2-3 hours without eating food.

There are plenty of idiots who do it I am afraid.

Also remember that there is a large audience of 11 - 16 year olds who are spending their parents money. This also explains some of the movies.

Using this logic Jennifer Anniston's career is paid for by reluctant parent's popcorn buying.

What about those people who bring foot massagers into the cinema "because it's a perfect time for a foot massage"? Fucking crazy.

What about those people who bring their fucking dogs in and have them running up and down the aisles for the whole movie and when you ask them "why did you bring your dogs here?" they say "OBAMA!"?
