In my silverware drawer I have all of the same types of utensils. Anything that isn't the same "type" gets thrown in the back to use when I run out of ice-cream spoons, I mean spoons. I even have a "picnic" set my mom got me once. AND I have the handy dandy travel backpacking utensils-they all go to the back!

Although I did just picture you taking out the ice cream from the freezer, letting it sit on the counter for a while to soften, scooping it into a bowl for me and then putting it on the floor for me to lap up like a cat!

We can enjoy ice cream together. I won't say anything as you ask to borrow my spoon because you broke yours and got brain freeze from too cold ice cream. Or maybe your ice cream will soften by the time you pick out your fancy ice cream eating spoon and we'll both be eating ice cream the right way.

Since I live on take-out, I am a spoon connoisseur. There are two types of spoons. There are the oval kind, semi-shallow, whose design matches that of thier stainless stell counterparts.
And then, there are the round spoons. *shudder*
The spoons with the rounder, deeper bowls. True, they are usually sturdier. But they do not fit into the mouth as well as normal oval spoons.Either one has to fill it only halfway for a clean slurp, or one risks spillage slurping a full bowl. If your soup happens to be at all oily/greasy, this can be even more problematic.
Why? Why make those spoons when they only serve to MOCK US??? IT'S 2020 PEOPLE!!

I'm sorry. I had no idea of the spoon struggle. I've only seen normal oval spoons in my take out and the stainless steel ones.

Round spoons are okay for soup, but not much else.
When my oval, semi-shallow spoons are all used up I will use my slightly bigger spoons that I think are supposed to be serving spoons? But they aren't fancy ones-so for casual dining? But they are still perfect for ice cream consumption, but probably not soup.
