Star Wars Midnight Madness 7/26/08

Hi, All.

Last night I attended the underwhelming TRU Midnight Madness. There weren't an awful lot of people there (between 65 and 100) but there wasn't an awful lot of merchandise either. We grabbed the new Millenium Falcon and by then everything else we were interested in was already gone. New MF compared to the old MF (not my picture):

Because of our MF purchase we also got the holo-greivous figure, which will remain carded on the wall as a representation of this particular cardback style.

Then we went to one of the local 24-hour WalMarts, where we picked up one of each of the following:

V-Wing
Spider Droid
Yarna
Bane Malor
Darth Vader (w/removeable helmet)
Ak-Rev
Ewok & Wokling
Sandstorm Han
Sandstorm Luke
Sandstorm Chewie
Clone Wars Yoda

I wanted to make sure we picked up the Padme Evolutions pack, but I was unable to find it.

On the GI Joe front, still no luck finding Rock 'n' Roll.

Also picked up the children's classic book Pat the Bunny for a co-worker.

I may have Rock 'n' Roll stuffed in a box @ my parents' house.

The new one that was released in 2008?

No. I stopped buying them when I was around 14 years old. That = 12 years ago.

We have that one already.

I have all of the pieces of this in storage at my 'rents' place. Had a little compartment in the back that was perfectly sized for the package ID cards that came with the figures. The prison had a working door and one of the "garages" actually had a lift that fit perfectly for this.

The last two vehicles I bought were this and this.

What's interesting about the Tiger Fly is that it's predecessor the Dragonfly came with Wild Bill. However, the Wild Bill figure that came with my Dragonfly had two left hands. I still have him. All my Joes are opened and in mint condition, save one: Snake Eyes. Which, my cousin managed to get ahold of and rip his thumbs off. I was PISSED. I was especially pissed because he destroyed one of my favorite characters; and did it ten years after his figure was discontinued.
