"Do you ever think about the fact that you're going to die?" Keira asked her nine year old daughter, Mindy.
"What, mummy?" asked Mindy. "I won't die until I'm one hundred like grandma!"
"Mindy your gran was 69 and she died of AIDS," said Keira. "AND SO WILL YOU!"
Mindy woke up with a start. "What a strange dream," she said and went back to sleep.
Mindy and her mother were found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning the next day. Neither woke up again during the night or even knew that their lives were about to end.
"WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT!" said Keira's husband, Barry, who had been away on business. "MY WIFE AND MY DAUGHTER FUCKING DEAD! WE CAN ALL DIE AT ANY MOMENT! WHY DO ANYTHING! WHY EAT BREAKFAST WHEN YOU'RE JUST GOING TO DIE! WHY LIVE AT ALL!"
Barry jumped in front of a train fifteen minutes later. A big train.
