Now, any intelligent man knows not to invade the personal space of a woman he doesn't know, especially in a dark area. Right?

Well, tonight I was in the drive through at the neighborhood store when some big idiot guy came out of the dark talking at me. I think he wanted change. The fireworks from the ballpark started going off at the same time, which distracted me for a moment, then big guy started screaming at me about ignoring him. Now, that makes that guy a double idiot. I'm sure he knows if it came down to a physical fight between us, he'd kick my ass. I certainly know it. So, dufuss should have considered that I might be one of those pistol packing grannies, or maybe have mace or one of those nifty little tasers in my purse. Stupid man.
 
I rolled up the car window and pulled out my cell phone to call the police. I'm a pacifist. I'd have driven off but there was a car in front of me and another behind me in the line for the drive-thru window.
 
Actually, it was a bit scary. He was sitting on the stairs of the little apartment complex behind the store when I drove up. I heard him talking but I didn't realize he was talking at me until he got up off the stairs and started coming towards my car. Then he said something about the lady in the white car - me - when I heard the popping going off. It took a second or two to look around to see where the popping was coming from. Then the guy started screaming about me ignoring him. A car pulled up behind me and somebody threw something down into the parking lot next to the guy that was still coming towards my car. I rolled up the window, got my cell phone out and was dialing 911 when the guy picked up the thing out of the parking lot, turned around and walked back behind the apartment complex.

Now, if I weren't a pacifist, and if I were one of those people who carried some sort of weaponry on my person, I might feel justified in reacting to his violence with some violence of my own.

Texas is fucked up like that anyway. That culture is odd compared to the rest of the country. Like the idea that most people are carrying weapons at any given moment of varying kinds and degrees, for example. Vermont has more guns per capita that Texas, yet the lowest rate of gun violence :)

Yeah, finally was able to go to sleep about 8 this morning and didn't wake up until 1, so got about 5 hours uninterrupted sleep. I'll survive another day.

I only worry about the weaponry people may carry on them because society seems to have forgotten we do not live in Jerry Springer world.
 
I TRY to keep a cool head when I am armed.. since I really don't want to kill someone.. or maybe I really don't want to go through the hassle killing someone would cause.. but lot's of PPL use intimidation to get money.. they DO count on PPL giving them whatever they want so there won't be a scene..

I grew up in the south east.. if I pull a weapon on anyone, I mean for one of us to die..
If you don't have a weapon, then it will be you.. FACT!

I have rarely carried a piece off of my property.. I have no reason to..
